Boots UK has now raised £10 million for Macmillan Cancer Support since their partnership began five years ago.
Income has been raised by Boots UK staff and customers. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro has raised £400,000 and the sale of bespoke merchandise has raised over £3 million.
The partnership has also involved collaborative training for Boots Macmillan Information Pharmacists and Boots Macmillan Beauty Advisors who provide much needed face to face support for customers affected by cancer in Boots stores.
Lynda Thomas, Chief Executive at Macmillan Cancer Support said:
“With 2.5 million people in the UK now living with cancer the phenomenal fundraising of Boots colleagues and customers will ensure that we can be there for even more people when they need us most. And for that, we simply cannot thank them enough.”
The partnership between Boots UK and Macmillan Cancer Support will continue.
