Giving Tuesday launches in Northern Ireland

Howard Lake | 23 October 2014 | News

Giving Northern Ireland has launched the GivingTuesdayNI campaign in Northern Ireland.
Giving NI will be working in partnership with the Charities Aid Foundation as the local lead organisation for the UK wide campaign.
The GivingTuesdayNI campaign will be on Tuesday 2nd December although activities will not be confined to that day. Giving NI are encouraging charities and local businesses to embrace the dedicated day to giving and use it as a tool for promoting their cause or organisation.
As part of the GivingNI initiative, Giving NI announced plans for a Giving Tree which will be situated in the Christmas market at Belfast City Hall for the duration of the market. GivingNI will provide gift tags on which a pledge will be written and hung on the tree. The pledges will also be uploaded to the Giving NI website.
Giving NI’s mission is to champion philanthropy, focusing particularly on high net worth individuals and businesses. The organisation is supported by Atlantic Philanthropies and Lloyds Foundation NI.
