Miller Homes offers prizes of £500 to local sports clubs

Howard Lake | 18 August 2014 | News

House-builder Miller Homes is again giving local sports clubs across the country the opportunity to win £500.
To enter the competition, entrants simply have to explain in no more than 200 words why their sports club deserves to win, how the money will be sent, and what it will be spent on.
There are six £500 prizes available – one for each of the company’s regions: Scotland, North East, North West, Yorkshire, Midlands, Southern.
Chris Endsor, Chief Executive of Miller Homes, said:

“We are delighted to be running our popular Summer of Sport initiative for the third year running, and so far this summer have seen a number of promising entries”.

One of the winners last year was Birmingham Blitz Dames. Ness Cole, head of fundraising at the group, said:

“The prize money has helped us to expand our club and involve new people in the sport. We were able to purchase new equipment – skates, helmets and pads – to be used by new recruits until they are able to buy their own, meaning we can easily accommodate new skaters. This funding really can make a big difference to local sports clubs.”

How to enter

Entry forms can be picked up at any one of Miller Homes’ marketing suites across the country. You can search Miller Homes’ website to find the nearest development.
The closing date for entries is 15 September 2014.
