Vodafone invites employees to fundraise for charities in Big Bold Challenge

Howard Lake | 23 July 2014 | News

Telecomms company Vodafone is encouraging its employees to take part in a fundraising event in September as part of its ‘Big Bold Challenge’.
It is suggesting that they run, walk or cycle to the Olympic Park in London from their offices in Newbury and Paddington. The aim is to complete a collective 20,000 miles on 25 September. Employees can choose form events ranging from a scenic walk to a duathlon.

Employees can choose which charity they want to benefit, and the company is asking them to commit to raising to least £100. Vodafone will then match the funds raised up to £350 per employee.
The Vodafone UK Corporate Responsibility Team‘s latest newsletter explains that the event is not just about fundraising and having fun, but it is also an opportunity to recognise the company’s achievement in “in providing the strongest signal in London making it the most ‘connected raised up place in the UK’”.
