Neelam Makhijani to step down as Resource Alliance CEO
Neelam Makhijani is to step down as Chief Executive of The Resource Alliance in May this year after four years in the role. She has worked at the Resource Alliance, the charity that helps NGOs worldwide boost fundraising capacity, for ten years.
During her time as CEO, The Resource Alliance, which runs the International Fundraising Congress in Holland and other major fundraising conferences, has introduced consulting services and its free Fundraising Online virtual conference.
Makhijani is returning to India due to the ill health of her mother.Jan Krol, Chair of trustees, thanked her for her work and said that he had “been instrumental in extending the reach of the Resource Alliance as well as strengthening our foundations for our long-term future development.”
Makhijani said: “It is with mixed emotion that I have decided to step down. It has been a huge honour to have held this post and to have been entrusted with the charity’s growth and development. The Resource Alliance is a brilliant organisation whose work reaches into every corner of the globe.”
The charity will appoint an interim chief executive while the board of trustees conducts a worldwide search for Ms Makhijani’s replacement.
