JustGiving experiences a mobile Christmas
Online giving platform JustGiving reports that nearly three quarters of visits to its site on Christmas Day were from mobile phones and tablets. As recently as 2010, just 8.6% of visits on that date came from mobile phones (and no visits from tablets).
Retailer John Lewis reported a similar figure:
“On Christmas Day, traffic from mobile phones and tablets made up three quarters of total traffic, overtaking that from desktops by a considerable margin”.
JustGiving’s analysis of traffic to its website over the past four Christmas Days show just how quickly mobile and tablet devices have become the most popular tools for accessing the site. Responding to the overall trend towards mobile giving, JustGiving launched its one-touch donation process in 2013.
