Foundation launches charitable giving campaign

To coincide with National Giving Week, the Community Foundation for Ireland has launched a new guide to Family and Personal Giving.
‘Giving and Gaining through Philanthropy,’ which can be downloaded from the Foundation’s website, aims to assist families and individuals who are already involved in philanthropy or are interested in getting started.
The guide details three steps to consider in deciding on your philanthropic goals:

- Identify the goals and the shared ‘dream’
- Developing structure but retaining flexibility
- Focusing on philanthropic impact
The guide also provides information on giving options for families and individuals such as giving directly, setting up a trust or establishing a family advised donor fund.
There is also a section in the guide for professional advisors.
National Giving Week, which will run from the 11th November to the 15th, is an initiative of the One Percent Campaign which aims to encourage charitable giving in Ireland.
