Irish Youth Foundation opens for applications

The Irish Youth Foundation is calling for applications for its 2013 funding round from organisations in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK.

Funding will be allocated at two levels – small grants up to £2,500 and standard grants up to £12,000. The Irish Youth Foundation raises funds and provides grants for projects benefiting young Irish people and children aged up to 25.

It is particularly concerned with helping young Irish people and their families who are disadvantaged and in need. Projects that will not be supported by the Foundation include appeals from large national charities, research, capital bids and overseas travel.

The grants can be used to extend an existing activity, to employ additional staff, to purchase equipment, to undertake an evaluation, to publish a report, to improve organisational capacity or to try something new and different.

Completed applications should be received no later than Friday 25 January 2013. Successful applicants will be informed in May/June 2013.

Applications forms, which can be downloaded from the Foundation site, together with any other required documents, should be sent by email to: li***@ir********.com or li***@iy*.uk

The Irish Youth Foundation also operates in the Republic of Ireland but it has different application deadlines.
