Researchers in Fundraising Conference to take place next month
Researchers in Fundraising will hold their annual conference and awards in London on 18 November 2013. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the founding of the special interest group for those engaged with or interested in prospect research in fundraising.
Speakers include:
- Cath Tillotson, Managing Partner of Scorpio Partnership: her opening plenary will focus on understanding and engaging the next generation of major donors
- RiF bursary winners Molly Tucker and Helen Gaffney will share what they learned from the APRA 2013 conference
Workshops at the conference include:
- Using Social Media in Prospect Research– Featuring Twitter and LinkedIn (for Beginner/Intermediate levels)
- Data Visualisation or Predictive Modelling – Using technical tools to enhance prospect research (for Advanced levels)
- Career Development – including Management, Analytics, Moving into Fundraising, Research in Corporate Partnerships and Freelance Research (for Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced levels)
First Researchers in Fundraising Awards
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group, straight after the conference there will be a RiF Awards ceremony, sponsored by Factary and Prospecting for Gold. This is designed to recognise best in prospect research innovation and impact across the UK in the past year.
The Researchers in Fundraising Annual Conference, which take place at the Royal College of Surgeons in London from 1 – 7.30pm, costs £55 for individual members of the Institute of Fundraising and £66 for non-members.
