Adoption charity names new business development manager

August 28, 2013 – The UK’s largest adoption support charity, After Adoption, has appointed a new Business Development Manager to build on the continuing growth of the Manchester-based charity.

Mike Gaskell will be responsible for the tendering of new and existing opportunities, specifically within local authorities.  Mike, from Macclesfield, will be based at the charity’s Manchester head office.

Mike brings with him more than 10 years’ experience in business development, having worked with Sodexo and the Mitie Group, where he was involved in the local authority tendering process.

On appointing Mike, After Adoption Chief Executive, Lynn Charlton, commented: “After Adoption has undergone massive growth in the past couple of years and we are confident that Mike’s expertise in businesss development will be of great benefit to the charity.

“Mike’s knowledge of local government will be a considerable asset to After Adoption, especially with the SafeBase programme that supports families during and after the adoption process.”
