The fundraising efforts of ten year old Jack Covill-Lowndes have been recognised in the form of a life-sized LEGO® model of Jack which is on display at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. This is the first time that a member of the UK public has been given this honour.

Jack won a competition run by LEGO® CITY and CHAT Magazine which aimed to find a true life hero. He was nominated by his aunt and guardian Tamara for his fundraising achievements for St Barnabas Hospice. The Hospice had looked after his mum, Steph, when she was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

It took about 35,000 Lego bricks to build the 4ft 6” version of Jack.

“It’s awesome”, said Jack at the unveiling. “They’ve even made the same clothes I was wearing out of LEGO – I can’t stop looking at my statue! LEGO CITY is my favourite range so it’s great to know that I’ll be stood in the LEGO CITY area for a whole month!”

The ‘Jack Covill-Lowndes Statue’ will remain at LEGOLAND Windsor until the end of September before being transported to Jack’s house.
