Sustrans introduces Sponsor a Mile campaign

Howard Lake | 25 June 2013 | News

Sustrans is introducing a new sponsorship product next month, asking people to sponsor a mile on their National Cycle Network. For £30 you can sponsor "your favourite mile" for a year.

There are plenty to choose from: the National Cycle Network now has over 14,000 miles, from coastal paths, to rural rides, and routes to work in towns and cities.

Sustrans say: "The support you givev through your sponsorship will help maintain the routes on the National Cycle Network and enable the network to expand".

You can choose your mile on an interactive map. Once you sponsor it, your mile will appear on the map, flagged with your name. As well as this donor recognition, sponsors will receive a thank you pack, sponsorship certificate, reflective bike sticker and updates about the National Cycle Network.

Sponsor a Mile will start at the end of July 2013.
