Crowdfunding site offers discounts to charities to set up campaigns

Howard Lake | 13 June 2013 | News

PleaseFund.us, the crowdfunding site for arts, cultural and creative projects, is offering discounts or ‘Digital Innovation Grants’ to enable any registered charity in the UK to set up and use its site to fundraise online.

Grants are worth between £2,000 and £10,000 and cover all costs associated with registration, set up and monthly administration and maintenance for a year. This includes three months fee-free use of the platform. Charities can run an unlimited number of campaigns on the site.

Recipients will get to work with a Charity Community manager who will help the charity to set up campaigns, share experiences and insights, and provide assistance as needed.

They will receive unlimited training for staff and volunteers, training in advertising and marketing, and strategic help with on-site workshops, together with invitations to charity user groups to share best practice.

PleaseFund.Us will also, if requested, apply to HMRC on behalf of each charity to reclaim Gift Aid on donations received.

There is no contract to lock the charity in. Charities can terminate their membership at any time.

Applications for grants close on 1 July 2013 at noon.
