New software tool to help small charities move beyond spreadsheets for fundraising

Bee Software, part of the Blue Tree Fundraising agency, has created Funded, a new software product for smaller charities to help them with their fundraising.

The system will allow charities to log their donor records, add contacts, search data by geography and cause, write appeal letters, record correspondence and produce reports.  It has also been “written with non-technical users in mind”.

Matthew Adam, one of the directors of the company, said: “Some time ago we noticed that many small charities required a low-cost system to track all of the appeals they made throughout the year as well as analysing their data in a better way.

“However there were only expensive software systems available that did far more than was needed, so most just relied on Excel spreadsheets, which can be inadequate as you grow.”

He added: “The small guys need as much help as the bigger guys but sometimes this part of the market-place is forgotten or has low-quality products. We are trying to rectify that!”
