Santander to donate £1,000 to winning charity for its Celebration for Jessica competition
Santander bank is running a competition inviting people to suggest a trademark celebration for Olympic athlete Jessica Ennis, one of the sports people who promote the bank and its products. The bank hopes to create Ennis’ equivalent to Mo Farah’s ‘The MoBot’, Peter Crouch’s robot dance, and Usain Bolt’s lightning bolt pose.
Santander will donate £1,000 to the group category winners’ charity of choice.
The individual winner will receive £5,000 and meet Ennis.

The competition runs throughout May, and charities, community groups and social enterprises are themselves invited to submit team entries.
To enter they should submit a video or photo of poses or moves indicating “how they would celebrate if they were in Jessica’s shoes”.
At the launch of the competition, Ennis said: “What would you do if you were in my shoes on Super Saturday? How would you celebrate? Send in pictures and videos of your celebration and don’t forget to tell me about the inspiration behind your entry. I’ll be picking out my favourites!”
Entries can be submitted via the Santander YouTube channel and via Twitter using the hashtag #Celebration4Jessica. The more votes entrants get, the greater their chance of winning.
The deadline for submissions is 5pm on 27 May. Winners will be announced by Friday 7 June.
