Global Fundraising Awards 2013 launched
The Resource Alliance has launched its Global Fundraising Awards, which are open to all winners of the Institute of Fundraising's National Fundraising Awards.
The Resource Alliance would like to congratulate all those fundraisers shortlisted for the Institute of Fundraising’s National Fundraising Awards, and remind them that should they be one of the lucky winners they can also enter the Resource Alliance’s Global Fundraising Awards – meaning their work has the opportunity to be recognised and celebrated on a truly global scale.
The Global Awards for Fundraising 2013 are an opportunity for the winners of national fundraising awards programmes from around the world to compete against each other. This includes the Institute of Fundraising in the UK.
The Global Awards for Fundraising has four inclusive categories: two for organisations and two for individual. They are:
Awards for organisations
– Big Idea, Small Budget
– Innovative Fundraising Campaign
Awards for individuals
– The Global Fundraiser
– The Outstanding Volunteer
All shortlisted candidates receive a free 3-day delegate place to attend the International Fundraising Congress (IFC), where the Global Awards ceremony takes place.
The winners of each category receive a trophy and certificate. All shortlisted candidates are showcased in a casebook which is distributed to approximately 1,000 guests at the ceremony, and publicised through the Resource Alliance website.
Neelam Makhijani, chief executive of the Resource Alliance, said: “This is fantastic opportunity for winners of the Institute of Fundraising’s National Fundraising Awards to celebrate their work on the global stage, raising the profile of both themselves and their organisations among their peers around the world.”
The Global Awards 2013 entry brochure includes the full details of the programme and how to enter. Entry forms are available to download from the Resource Alliance website or can be requested by emailing aw****@re***************.org.
Last year’s winners included the Sir David Martin Foundation, Australia; Action against Hunger, Spain; Yoshiomi Tamai, president of Ashinaga, Japan; and Reeta Sabharwal of Action For Autism, India.
