Pro bono support helps launch campaign International Day for Street Children
Pro bono support has helped the Consortium for Street Children (CSC) launch its campaign to gain United Nations recognition for International Day for Street Children on 12 April.
The ‘Home Street Home’ campaign highlights the millions of children around the world for whom life on the street is a daily reality. UN recognition would encourage states to take a greater degree of responsibility to protect the rights of street children.
The campaign has been made possible by pro bono support from design agency The Partners, who developed the Home Street Home concept and visuals, together with support from Jack Agency in developing the outdoor activity on the 12th April and donating billboard space.

The campaign features stark visual imagery of a child’s bedroom sign in the incongruous setting of the street with the aim of challenging people to realise that for many children the street is their home.
International Day for Street Children was launched by the Consortium for Street Children, a UK based network of NGOs, in 2011. The Day is supported by insurer Aviva, bank HSBC, and retailer Tesco.
