People’s Millions offers up to £50,000 for local community projects
ITV and the Big Lottery Fund are offering 76 grants of up to £50,000 to local community projects in this year’s The People’s Millions. The public will get to vote on which projects win funding.
The People’s Millions campaign was introduced in 2005. Since then it has made a total of 523 awards worth over £27.8 million.
This year the Big Lottery Fund will be making grants of £3.8 million. This will be divided among four projects in each of the 19 ITV regional news areas.

Who can apply?
The People’s Millions is inviting applications from new projects that will improve local places and the lives of people in those communities. Applicants will need to demonstrate that there is active local interest and support for the project.
Applications are invited from voluntary or community organisations, schools, local authorities or health bodies. Applications from from branches of organisations or partnerships will also be considered.
Only one application per organisation will be accepted.
The winners will be determined by a public vote via ITV coverage. Winning projects must have started work on the project by 31 March 2014.
Applicants will hear whether they are on the shortlist by 16 August 2013.
The deadline for applications is 13 May 2013.
