Cancer Research UK’s January 2013 TV advert begins the year on a positive note, highlighting the fact that research has helped boost the survival chances of children with leukaemia from one in ten in the 1960s to eight out of ten now.

The fundraising ask is very soft: “Help us make it sooner” (referring to defeating all cancers), and a web link to cruk.org.
