Howard Lake | 5 December 2012 | News

The deadline for entries to the Technology4Good Youth Awards has been extended to 14 December 2012. The Awards are a new competition to encourage young people to use accessible technology to help make the world a better place.

They are open to individuals or a group aged 14 – 21 living in England. Their project must help disabled, elderly or social excluded people, but must be either new or a substantial new element of an existing project. Technology must be a significant component of the project.

Shortlisted groups will receive three months mentoring from some of the UK’s top businesses and charities.

Nine finalists will be selected who will then pitch at an event in April 2013 at Windsor Castle to win £5,000 to make the project a reality.
