Nominations open for 2014 Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value

Nestlé is inviting nominations of innovative initiatives in nutrition, water or rural development for its 2014 Nestlé Prize in Creating Shared Value.

The winner will receive up to 500,000 Swiss francs (approximately £336,000) to help scale up or replicate the project. Nestlé is looking for “innovative, commercially viable and high-impact initiatives”.

The prize is open to individuals, not-for-profit organisations, private companies, social enterprises, and academic institutions around the world.

The deadline to apply is 31 March 2013.

This year Nestlé awarded the Prize to one winner and two runners up, one of whom was Excellent Development, the UK charity.
