Samantha Cameron launches Westfield's partnership with Save the Children

Howard Lake | 23 October 2012 | News

Save the Children ambassador Samantha Cameron has launched the charity’s Christmas partnership with shopping centre company Westfield by attending a book reading at Westfield London in Shepherd’s Bush.

In the run up to Christmas, Westfield Stratford City, Westfield London and Westfield Merry Hill will raise awareness and funds for Save the Children’s work through a series of exclusive festive events.

Mrs Cameron gave a reading of The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler to children who were taking part in a choir competition to raise funds for Save the Children. She then joined them in decorating Christmas Baubles that will be sold in aid of the charity. Members of the public can donate £1 to decorate a bauble and send it to a friend or family member in the envelope provided.
