100%Open appoints Lucy Gower to expand charity sector work

100%Open, the open innovation agency, has appointed fundraising innovation specialist Lucy Gower to develop its services to charities and third sector organisations.
Gower has over 10 years experience in the third sector and most recently led Innovation and Development at children’s charity NSPCC. She has also worked with Maggie’s Caring Cancer Centres, Amnesty and VSO.
At 100%Open she will lead open innovation projects with both private and not-for-profit organisations, with a focus on innovation in fundraising.
Gower said: “Open innovation is about working in collaboration with donors, volunteers, staff and other organisations to develop products, services and campaigns. At a time when charities are under increasing pressure to deliver more for less, it is a good solution as it shares risks, facilitates insight, builds relationships, and quickly generates and develops new ideas.”
Other recent appointments to the 100%Open team include the appointment of Jogesh Limbani, formerly Head of Open Innovation at Orange, who will be developing mobile innovation within the agency. Its charity clients include Cancer Research UK and Oxfam.
