Direct marketing expert Stephen Pidgeon has left Tangible, the agency he set up with colleagues as Target Direct in 1993. He is continuing his consultancy work with charities and nonprofits around the world.
Speaking of Tangible, Pidgeon said: “It’s still the best DM specialist in the fundraising sector and they’ve treated me admirably since I sold my shares a year or two ago. But my freelance work is now building rapidly.”
Re-elected last year to the board of trustees of the Institute of Fundraising, he is currently working with charity clients in Ireland, Norway, Denmark, New Zealand and Canada, where he is working on a second mailing for WSPA Canada.
He also teaches with Professor Adrian Sargeant on the Institute of Fundraising’s Academy residential courses in Southampton, and both of them are teaching new fundraising qualifications in Italy and Ireland.
Pidgeon, now trading as Stephen Pidgeon Ltd, told UK Fundraising: “I’m doing what I love best, I’m talking to charities about how to raise more money from their supporters. I couldn’t ask for more than that!”
