Fundraising website easyfundraising has today announced it has processed 175,000 donations to charities and good causes since September 2007, representing a 75% increase in donations in just 10 weeks.

And with the Internet set to overtake the traditional high street as the preferred place for UK consumers to shop this Christmas, easyfundraising is expecting to see its fundraising organisations generate in excess of £80,000 in donations over the festive period.

easyfundraising’s Becky Coleman said, “We’ve had a very busy few weeks at easyfundraising, putting all our efforts into helping our organisations harness the spending power of their supporters over the Christmas period.”

An estimated £14 billion will be spent online in the UK this Christmas and our service allows charities and good causes to tap into this trend, providing them with a steady fundraising income at no additional cost to either the organisations or their supporters.”

easyfundraising has also launched a Christmas Advent Calendar Competition to provide its fundraising organisations with a festive tool to incentivise their supporters.

Prizes in the free to enter competition include 2 flights to Paris, a luxury spa break for two, a 32″ HD Ready Digital LCD TV, an Xbox 360 and much more.

easyfundraising provides a simple way for charities, voluntary groups and non profit organisations to raise funds whenever their supporters shop online.
