Charity Greetings offers 100 free premium online card shops for charities for Mother's Day

Fundraising greetings card company CharityGreetings.com is giving away 100 free premium online card shops to UK charities in time for Mother’s Day.
The premium online card shop includes the company’s Facebook card shop technology whereby charities can have their own greeting card shop from within their Facebook pages.
While many charities still focus just on Christmas for selling cards, there are many other opportunities during the year, such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day. Charity Greetings say that in 2011, £57.1 million was spent on 21.5 million Mother’s Day cards, and that, according to an October 2010 Mintel report, one in five consumers prefer to send charity cards where possible.
Charity Greetings founder, Craig Hartzel, explained the offer of the online card shops. “Charities should be offering greeting cards all year round – not just at Christmas,” he said.
“The only problem is that it is very expensive to buy stock and fulfil demand and lots of charities simply can’t take on that extra burden. That’s why I want to give away 100 premium card shops – to show charities how easy it can be to raise extra revenue.”
He added that there is no stock to print, buy or fulfil, “meaning there is no risk or increased workload for the charity”.
Charities already using CharityGreetings.com include The Alzheimer’s Society, Dogs Trust, Diabetes UK, Cats Protection and Sightsavers.
