Berlei Active Support helps sports clubs fundraise

Berlei Active Support is a new fundraising initiative being launched by Berlei, the lingerie Brand. The sports bra’s are suitable for most outdoor activities and sports, providing good support for girls’ breasts.
Last year scientists were urging compulsory sports bras in schools, demonstrating the importance of girls wearing bras for sports and outdoor activities. A scientist has said that sports bras should become a standard piece of PE kit, and should be worn by girls for all games and PE lessons. “Our research demonstrates that the correct bra reduces breast movement and associated pain and may reduce the risk of long-term sag. Giving girls the right information at an early age can improve their body image and even encourage greater take-up of sport at school. Mouthguards are a compulsory part of PE kit for children when playing hockey and rugby and I want to see sports bras for girls become the same”.

Clubs can register with Berlei Active Support and get preferential prices for their members, while at the same time raising funds for both the Club and our nominated local charity. As an example, the Berlei Running Bra normally sells for £32.00. The club member would receive 10% discount, buying the bra for £28.80, the club would receive £2 as a donation from Berlei, and the Berlei nominated local charity would receive £1 as a donation. The only restriction is a minimum spend based on original price of £30. Everybody wins!
