Polaroid Eyewear partners worldwide with Sightsavers

Polaroid Eyewear will donate £1 to Sightsavers for every pair of its new 2012 Best Under the Sun Collection sunglasses sold during 2012 as part of a worldwide partnership with the UK charity.
The company has chosen Sightsavers as part of its 75th anniversary celebrations. The money raised will help the charity fund work to restore sight and prevent blindness in children and adults living in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Rebecca Harwood Lincoln, Country Manager, UK & Ireland for Polaroid Eyewear, said: “More and more consumers are choosing brands that are a force for good and this is a fantastic opportunity for our optical trade partners to be part of that move and help Polaroid release donations to support the incredible life-changing work that Sightsavers does.”
Polaroid is inviting retailers to support its Sightsavers campaign by stocking up to 20 frames in the Best Under the Sun Collection, each drawn from an original design from the Polaroid archives, reflecting styles from the 1930s to the 1980s. In addition, Polaroid has created an Aviator frame, called Seventy-five, which is also included in the Sightsavers fundraising campaign.
The company has created an eye-catching window display for retailers to help them promote the 2012 Best Under the Sun Collection. It illustrates the history of Polaroid sunglasses, and includes merchandise stickers which highlight the charity donation to Sightsavers of £1 a pair.
