Fundraising shopping website easyfundraising.org.uk has appointed Dennis Campbell as its Partnerships Director, a new role at the company. He will work with fundraisers at charities to help them boost their income from the site by identifying areas that could prove more effective, by sharing expertise, and by supplying appropriate communications tools.
Lichfield-based easyfundraising works with more than 33,000 registered organisations, “turning everyday shopping into donations for good causes”. Visitors to the site can shop with one of more than 2,000 retailers and will generate an average 5% donation for their preferred good cause when they do so.
Easyfundraising is used not only by charities but by schools, sports clubs, Scout groups and other smaller good causes.
Since its launch in 2005 easyfundraising has raised more than £2.6 million for good causes. In the third quarter of this year it reported total sales of around £4.94 million, a 25% increase on the same period last year, generating more than £197,000 in income for good causes. The company says that it is on target to raise £1 million this year for its charity partners.
Easyfundraising.org.uk Managing Director Gary Thompson said that Campbell “brings with him a wealth of experience to help our good causes become more proactive in their fund-raising activities”.
