Innovation in Giving Fund shortlist announced
Nesta, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts which aims to make the UK more innovative, has announced the shortlist of initiatives for the first round of its £10 milion Innovation in Giving Fund. The Fund is designed “to deliver a significant increase in the giving and exchange of time, assets, skills, resources and money”.
Over 400 applications were received and Nesta has chosen 62 of them to go through to the next selection phase.

UK Fundraising’s application was not successful.
Craig Hartzel, CEO of CharityGreetings told UK Fundraising: “We are delighted to be shortlisted to the next round of the Innovation in Giving Fund. It’s these type of grants that allow smaller companies to continue to evolve.”
Nesta expects to open a second round of applications in Spring 2012.
