Belfast City Council invites applications for peace funding

Belfast City Council is inviting applications for its Peace III Strategic Grants Programme 2011-2013 which will offer grants from £75,000 to £125,000.

The strategic grants programme is aimed at organisations with the capacity to deliver large scale projects involving “many stakeholders”.

The Peace III programme is an EU Structural Funds programme designed to reinforce prorgress towards a peaceful and stable society and promoting reconciliation. This programme, Priority 1.1, seeks to challenge attitudes towards sectarianism and racism at local level.

Successful applications to this programme will have to begin by 30 September 2012 at the latest and be completed by 30 September 2013.

Applications can be made via the EU grants website, eugrants.org. Both sections A and B of the application form need to be completed and submitted by 16 December 2012. As well as submitting an electronic copy of the application a hardcopy must be sent by the deadline.
