Atlantic makes Irish grants worth over $7 million

Atlantic Philanthropies has made grants of $7,239,162 in 2011 to organisations in Ireland.

The largest grant went to the Gay and Lesbian Network in the Irish Republic which received $1.7 million. The same organisation got a grant of $300,000 in 2010.

The Community Foundation for Northern Ireland received the largest grant total in 2011 with three grants adding up to $3,019,520. The grants were provided to influence public policy, ‘global learning and exchange programme’ and to promote a rights based approach to community development.

The Northern Ireland Council for Vountary Action received two grants which came to over $1 million.
