Irish will week announced

Howard Lake | 12 October 2011 | News

Irish legacy promotion consortium, My Legacy, has launched its first ‘Best Will in the World Week’ to promote leaving a charitable bequst. The week runs from Monday 17th to Friday 21st October 2011.
Best Will in the World will encourage the general public to visit a local participating solicitor to have a will drawn up or changed and to consider leaving a legacy to their favourite charity.
My Legacy’s website has a list of participating solicitors throughout Ireland.
Through the Best Will in the World Week people will be able to benefit from professional, impartial advice on their will for €50, and My Legacy hope that at the same time people will select their favourite charity as a beneficiary. The message that My Legacy is promoting is that leaving a legacy is a simple, a fulfilling experience and anyone can do it.
My Legacy was established in 2003 by a small group of Irish charities who wished to spread the word about charitable bequests. Since then consortium has grown and now represents over 60 leading Irish charities and not-for-profit organisations. Legacy Promotion Ireland is open to all Irish charities and not-for-profit organisations.
The My Legacy website provides independent information to individuals, charities and solicitors about leaving legacies to charities.
