A six-year study of the financial performance of 100 charitable trusts will be published later this month by Bill Bruty Associates.
According to the research, between 2008 and 2009 charitable trusts saw their income and asset values drop by nearly 25%. In 2008 53% of the trusts examined in the study were increasing their grantmaking, but by 2010 that figure had reduced to 38%.
‘Through The Looking Glass: A Glimpse into the financial condition of UK Charitable Trusts’ will be presented on 27 September 2011 from 18.00 – 21.00 at the St Bride Foundation, London, EC4Y 8EQ. The event will feature a panel discussion by four directors of charitable trusts, alongside independent experts on investment performance and grantmaking.
The seminar costs £55 + VAT and includes a drinks reception.
