Three quarters of professional fundraisers think fundraising is a career for life
As the Institute of Fundraising’s National Convention gets underway today, the Institute reports that a poll on its website found that 75% of respondents agree that fundraising is a ‘career for life’.
The National Convention is the largest UK conference after the party political conferences, and offers fundraisers a chance to learn from a wide range of speakers and discussion sessions, and to network with each other.
Paul Marvell, Director of Learning at the Institute of Fundraising, said: “Our Academy, Convention and conferences are designed to enhance the performance of fundraisers from entry level right through to director level. Our recently launched Continuous Professional Development scheme enables fundraisers to plan their professional development effectively as they gain experience and seniority. More than ever before fundraising is becoming a profession of choice.”
