Santander donates £100k to Citizens Advice for financial capability training

Santander Foundation has donated £100,000 to Citizens Advice to boost the organisation’s financial capability projects. This should benefit up to 20 regional bureaux, meaning that around 25,000 more people will receive support and advice on how to manage their money. The bank has been supporting Citizens Advice for over 20 years.
Bureaux across the network in England and Wales will be invited by Citizens Advice to apply for funding for existing projects or to set-up new financial capability training initiatives.
Gillian Guy, Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Advice said: “Over the years we have received a tremendous amount of support from Santander for our financial capability work. This donation will allow many of our bureaux across the network to continue their training programmes and also enable others, who are not already involved, to do so.”
This year Santander’s Community programme will contribute over £6 million to good causes around the UK.
