Purple Vision offers low cost training for new or returning fundraisers

Fundraising and CRM consultancy Purple Vision is this month beginning a series of training courses designed primarily for people who are new or returning to the voluntary sector. The consultancy’s staff will be donating their time for the Purple Protégés Programme to help aspiring fundraisers.
The courses will offer delegates an opportunity to discover what it’s like to work in fundraising by covering topics like database skills, supporter care and data protection. Delegates will pay a small nominal fee to cover administration costs.
The first Purple Protégés course, ‘An Introduction to The Raiser’s Edge,’ will be held in London at The Hub, King’s Cross on 26 May 2011 from 9am to 1pm. The price of £45 includes all costs and refreshments.
Steve Thomas, Managing Director at Purple Vision said: “We often hear from people asking us about training courses – especially The Raiser’s Edge – which typically cost more than individuals can afford. Rather than turn them down, we decided to try and help”.
Purple Vision will provide a certificate at the end of each course, so it will hopefully give Purple Protégés the edge when they go for a job interview.
