New Director at Migraine Action

Joanna Hamilton-ColClough has been appointed as the new Director at Migraine Action, the national charity that offers support, advice and information to the one in seven people in the UK who are affected by debilitating migraine,.
Hamilton-ColClough will be responsible for the strategic development of the membership-based charity and its services, identifying new income streams, developing the charity’s community, corporate and legacy fundraising activity and leading the charity’s team of seven full and part time employees based in Leicester.
She has over 25 years management and operational experience in the charitable sector. Having originally trained as a nurse in the North East, Joanna has held a number of senior positions in the voluntary sector including working for Coping with Cancer Leicestershire and Rutland, a cancer and palliative cancer support organisation, and managing in Market Harborough the local voluntary sector services at a district level.
Joanna says: “I am privileged to have joined a patient organisation whose history suggests they place patients at the heart of their activities and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead, many of which are faced by the health and patient sector as a whole”.
