Lord Mayor invites applications to the Dragon Awards

The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of the City of London, Alderman Michael Bear, is inviting applications to the Dragon Awards 2011.
The awards, founded in 1987, recognise community engagement in Greater London. They are open to all businesses, public bodies and community organisations which are making a positive impact and engaging with communities in London.
The awards categories are:
• Education Award
• Economic Regeneration Award
• Social Inclusion Award
• Community Partners Award
• Heart of the City Award (for new programmes)
• Lord Mayor’s Award (for longstanding work)
Winners of Dragon Awards receive a Dragon statuette, local and national press coverage and “the recognition amongst their peers and competitors as offering exemplary programmes of Corporate Community Involvement”.
Completed application forms must be submitted by 17.00 on 13 June 2011.
