Blackbaud releases Patron's Edge version for smaller arts and cultural organisations

Blackbaud has today unveiled a preconfigured, lower-cost version of The Patron Edge specifically for small arts and cultural organisations in the UK.
The Patron Edge Essentials includes interactive ticketing, fundraising, marketing and CRM tools and functionality from its The Patron Edge product, but preconfigured for smaller organisations’ needs. It is also supported by Blackbaud’s customer support, training, design and consultancy services.
Functions available include managing friends or membership schemes; data analysis to help increase recency, frequency and value of donations from patrons; segmented ticketing schemes ad personalised campaigns; tracking of every patron/donor encounter in the database; dynamic pricing initiatives; 24/7 self-service online ticket office; and multi-channel marketing to audiences.
Christopher Goodhart, European MD, Arts & Cultural Division at Blackbaud Europe, who is also Treasurer and Vice Chair at The Albany theatre, London, said: “Considerable experience in the arts, cultural and attractions market has shown us that smaller organisations tend to be restricted by smaller budgets but also need less functionality when starting out with holistic solutions and multichannel integration.
“Blackbaud is probably best known for the comprehensive and intricate data management and analytics that our high-end solutions can offer. As part of our mission to fully support the not-for-profit sector, we also want to help smaller organisations compete, by arming them with cutting-edge technology.”
Blackbaud estimates that The Patron Edge Essentials would be an appropriate tool for up to 1,500 small and medium sized arts and cultural organisations in the UK which have less than 350 seats or a general admission total of less than £1 million per year.
