Grants for a just and peaceful society in Ireland
From 5 April 2011 the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust is making some significant changes to its guidelines for support to organisations working on the development of a just and peaceful society in Ireland. Applications from most organisations in the Republic of Ireland will no longer be accepted.
There are five new priority areas:

- Strengthening the ‘new politics’ in Northern Ireland;
- Fostering a culture of human rights, equality and civil liberties;
- Encouraging and enabling marginalised groups to play a full part in the political process and in civil society;
- Dealing with the past;
- Strengthening civil society.

The first closing date for applications is 22 August 2011.
