The 2011/12 edition of the Guide to UK Company Giving is due for publication this month by the Directory fo Social Change.
The 8th edition of the guide includes details of nearly 600 companies in the UK, over 100 more than appeared in the previous edition. These companies give a combined total of around £800 million each year in community support to voluntary and community organisations.
The top 100 countries are presented in more detail than the remaining 500. For the top 100, the book features the nature of the company, its directors and community giving policy, levels of giving (cash and in-kind). It also includes examples of charitable organisations that have been supported. There is also information on employee and payroll giving, sponsorship and cause-related marketing, the company’s charity of the year, partnerships and of course contact information.
For the remaining 500 companies, the directory lists the nature of the company, its levels of cash giving (in cash and kind), the name of the Chair and Chief Executive, its community giving policy and employees’ or corporate charity.
Edited by Denise Lillya, the book includes advice on how to apply to companies, and how to attract a successful sponsor.
The Guide to UK Company Giving 2011/12 costs £75 from the Directory of Social Change, and is also available from Amazon.
