Twitter is just another communications channel. But every now and again it does show you how powerful it is. Come to think of it, following so many charity and fundraising-related content on Twitter, those magic moments happen on a very frequent basis.
Still, here’s one from today that shows why Twitter can matter.

Yes, you should never rely on Twitter messages getting through in life-threatening situations. Yes, mobile phones, email etc are also very good at rapid sharing of information.
But Twitter is public and personal. So now we all know just how effective it can be.
