Winter Wonderland Ball 2008 for Hilton in the Community Foundation

LONDON, ENGLAND, 11th DECEMBER 2010 – Hilton in the Community Foundation will be celebrating ten years of support for disadvantaged young people with a glamorous Winter Wonderland themed ball at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
The black-tie event on Saturday 11th December is Hilton in the Community Foundation’s flagship annual fundraiser. The evening, generously sponsored by the Ability Group, includes a champagne reception, four-course gourmet dinner and first-class entertainment, including a unique festive performance from the cast of West-end hit show the Jersey Boys.
Last year’s Ball made an incredible £370,000 in support of Hilton in the Community Foundation and the Muir Maxwell Trust. This year, to celebrate the charity’s anniversary year, all of the proceeds from the night will be channelled through the Foundation’s central grant fund to a range of deserving children’s charities. Since its inception in 2000 the charity has raised £9.365 million and has supported 898 charitable organisations, assisting more than 2.5 million young people worldwide.
Dame Maureen Thomas, Hilton in the Community Foundation Trustee and Chair of the Ball committee, said: “This is always an important night in the Hilton in the Community Foundation calendar and this year promises to be an extra special evening in celebration of the charity’s ten year anniversary. As always there will be some fantastic entertainment on offer and we hope to raise a considerable sum from the evening to kick start our next decade of giving and assist even more young people that need our help”.
The evening’s charity auction and raffle will include an array of exciting prizes including an all inclusive trip to see the Grammy’s, private lessons with stars from ITV’s Dancing on Ice and luxury Hilton holidays in Bali and the Maldives. A car will also be given away in the evening’s “heads and tails” game.
Tickets are sold out for the exclusive event which will be attended by business leaders, premier corporate clients as well as celebrity guests.
