Institute invites proposals for National Convention presentations

The Institute of Fundraising is reminding fundraisers that the closing date for submission of proposals for 2011’s National Convention is 29 October 2010.
The Institute is looking for ideas from expert fundraisers. Innovative and inspirational content s welcome but needs to be tailored to the needs of fundraisers with varying levels of experience.
Ruth Moore, Head of Events at the Institute of Fundraising, said: “The high quality of speakers and sessions presented in 2010 was clear from the excellent feedback we received and we’re looking to build even further on that for 2011.
“The Convention Board are determined that IoF National Convention 2011 will be the most delegate-focussed to date and look forward to receiving the most insightful proposals that the sector has to offer.”
Submission are passed to the Convention Board for consideration. This consists of 21 senior fundraisers representing all disciplines in fundraising such as corporate, community and legacies, and is headed up by Russell Thompson, Director of Fundraising and Marketing at the Royal British Legion.
All applicants will be notified by January 2011 as to whether or not their session has been selected for the programme.
