CAF to run philanthropy workshops for major donors

Howard Lake | 27 September 2010 | News

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) is to run a series of free workshops to help major donors learn more about how to maximize the positive impact of their charitable donations.
The workshops will feature presentations from experts at CAF and other organisations involved in giving, and will cover a range of philanthropic issues, from changes in the charity sector, to ethical investment, and the giving of works of art.
Lesley Pimm, Senior Client Manager for Private Clients at CAF, who will be running the workshops, said: “The philanthropic world can sometimes seem complex and daunting and it’s often difficult to know where to start. These workshops will, in an informative yet relaxing setting, enable attendees to better understand how they can make a difference, and perhaps introduce them to new ways to help charities”.
The workshops are:
‘Transforming Philanthropy through Art’ – 6 October 2010, 5.30pm to 7pm
‘Your Giving Journey’, 20 October 2010, 5.30pm to 7pm.
‘Big Trends in Philanthropy’, 3 November 2010, 5.30pm to 7pm.
‘Impact Investing: How to make a difference in Philanthropy’, 24 November 2010, 5.30pm to 7pm.
‘Capital for Good’, 8 December 2010, 5.30pm to 7.30pm
