John Grain Associates (JGA) have announced what they claim to be the UK’s first workshops dedicated to the humble thank you letter.
The one-day workshops will run in London (9 November at Regent’s Park Conference Centre), Oxford (18 January 2011 at St Hugh’s College) and Manchester (17 February 2011 at Manchester Museum).
Director, and workshop presenter, John Grain said: “In our experience thank you letters are often some of the most predictable and formulaic communications that charities send out – full of dull clichés and bland, boring statements about the charity’s work. But this needn’t be the case.
“We believe that they can be transformed into something that inspires and motivates, that crackle with excitement, and which can become some of the most important and effective communications of any your organisation sends.”
The workshop has taken nine months to put together, with the aim of ensuring that participants leave with new ideas, new strategies and new ways to re-invigorate the humble thank you letter.
Places cost £120, which includes all refreshments and lunch, and group discounts are available. Places are limited to twenty-five people on each course.
