Fundraising codes now come with summary checklist
The Institute of Fundraising has added checklists to each of its Codes of Practice to make them even more accessible to fundraisers. Each Code now has a checklist at the front that pulls out pertinent issues from the code in a series of questions, making information easier to find and providing a structure for going through the information.
Louise Richards, Director of Policy and Campaigns at the Institute of Fundraising, explained: “These checklists are not intended as a substitute for reading our Codes in full, but act as an additional guide to help people digest the Codes. In this environment of increased scrutiny of fundraising methods and practices it is more important than ever that fundraisers properly interpret and keep to our Codes.@
The launch of the checklists coincides with a revamp of best practice information and ./guidance on the Institute’s website.
