The Royal Bank of Canada’s (RBC) Race for the Kids sponsored run in London last month raised £258,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, easily beating the original target of £120,000.
More than 1,200 people took part in the 5k run on 6 June.
Doug McGregor, Chairman and co-CEO of RBC Capital Markets said: “I’m excited that in our first year working with the Great Ormond Street Hospital we have seen such tremendous support from both our employees and the public. We are delighted this year’s event has been so successful and are committed to continuing to build strong partnerships with charities in the regions where we operate. We will continue to support this fantastic cause in 2011.”
The organisations are already accepting registrations for next year’s event.
