UNICEF UK chosen as first charity partner for Creative Tap Award

Howard Lake | 14 June 2010 | News

Children’s charity UNICEF UK has been selected as the first charity partner to benefit from a new creative digital award scheme, the Creative Tap.
The Creative Tap Award, established by digital charity specialists Baigent Digital, invites design students to design a concept in response to a digital brief set by a chosen charity. The winning entry is given back to the charity for possible implementation, benefiting both the charity and the student who is awarded an internship with Baigent Digital.
As the chosen charity for Creative Tap 2010, UNICEF UK will have an involvement in writing the brief, contributing to the judging panel and ultimately, receiving the winning creative concept for their use.
Steven Ramsay, Creative Director of Baigent Digital and one of the judges of the award scheme, said: “We’re really excited that UNICEF UK has become Creative Tap’s charity partner this year. This is unique not just for students but for the charity sector in showcasing new creative innovation. This can only benefit and push the boundaries for the charity partner of Creative Tap and set the benchmark for digital design in the third sector as a whole.”
